Hullabaloo Farm Sanctuary was formed in 2022 when a love of all things geeky collided with a love of animals and a belief that they deserve to live long, happy lives that don’t end on a dinner plate. HQ was established on an 8 acre farm in upstate New York shortly after we welcomed our first resident superhero: Jubilee, the kunekune piglet.
It is our sincerest belief that every creature has the potential to be a superhero, human and animal alike.
It’s more than your ability to don a cape and take flight or the random chance that you’ll be bitten by a radioactive insect. Knowledge, courage, determination, kindness, humility, an open mind: these are all superpowers that each of us possess and can use to make the world a better, more humane, and sustainable home for every living creature on it.
Every animal we rescue and bring home to Hullabaloo Farm Sanctuary is a superhero in their own way. Whether they battled adversity, misconceptions, health issues, or any number of hurdles put in their way, they were superheroes before they ever stepped foot on the farm by just surviving in a world that sees them as nothing more than food. Here at HQ, we give those heroes the chance to heal, to reach their full potential, to be themselves in a safe and loving environment. We give them a home.
Every superhero has an arch nemesis; a supervillain that taunts and threatens their very existence. Our nemesis is Factory Farming.
Factory farming is not only a huge contributor to animal abuse, but is also a major cause of water and air pollution, deforestation, worker exploitation, and numerous public health issues. We at Hullabaloo Farm Sanctuary understand that this may be new information to you (it was to us at one time too) and that making compassionate choices when it comes to your eating habits and lifestyle may seem daunting and easier to ignore than accept. We welcome you to take that first step towards understanding and finding a way to help the animals, the planet, and humanity. We’re here to help you find the superhero within yourself.
